Lambeth Council - Housing, benefits & rent queries
A helpline is available for people in Lambeth who are over 70 or have an existing medical condition which makes them more vulnerable to coronavirus. You or someone acting on your behalf can call the helpline to get advice on issues you are having, including access to medicines and food.
The helpline number is 020 7926 2999. The helpline is open from 9 am - 5 pm Monday to Friday.
Financial Hardship. In response to financial concerns relating to those who are self-isolating or have lost work due to COVID-19, Lambeth Council is directing residents to apply for Emergency Support via the Emergency Support Scheme. The Emergency Support Scheme can provide assistance with food, fuel, furniture and white goods for households facing a crisis or emergency.

Housing Support. In response to financial concerns relating to those who are self-isolating or have lost work due to COVID-19, Lambeth Council is directing residents to apply for a Discretionary Housing Payment via the Discretionary Housing Payment Scheme. The DHP can provide assistance with your rent costs. You must go online and complete an application form to apply.

Lambeth Council is working closely with local NHS partners and the community and voluntary sector to ensure vulnerable people and are able to access support where needed seeking volunteers to help support vulnerable residents who are self-isolating due to COVID-19. Residents can sign up as to volunteer via the website. Voluntary activities may include delivering food via foot or car, packing at food banks, administration and phone contact for those isolating.
